With over a decade of experience, Michelle Moor’s practice is devoted entirely to working with families to ensure that students in Massachusetts receive the educational services to which they are entitled.
Attorney Moor is a graduate of Vassar College and Northeastern University School of Law. Before opening this practice, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, worked as a litigation associate for a large international law firm, and practiced for several years in the disability and special education law group at Kotin, Crabtree & Strong, LLP in Boston.
Attorney Moor’s current practice is devoted entirely to working with families to ensure that students in Massachusetts receive the educational services to which they are entitled. She routinely consults with families about educational and civil rights matters, represents families during negotiations with school districts, as well as at disciplinary and manifestation hearings, hearings before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals, and in state and federal court.
Attorney Moor has been named as a Rising Star among attorneys in Massachusetts by Super Lawyers in 2010-2012, 2014-2018. She is a Board Member of the Massachusetts Branch of the International Dyslexic Association (MABIDA), and a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), and the Special Needs Advocacy Network (SPAN).
Attorney Moor frequently presents on various special education law topics to parent advocacy groups, non-profit entities, and other organizations.
